Ozark takes both 4 x 200 relays (Track roundup)

   BRAN­SON — Ozark swept the 4 x 200 relay at the Super Con­fer­ence Track Meet on Fri­day.
  The meet was halted after 14 events due to rain and light­ning.
  Ozark won the boys 4 x 200 relay (1:32) and the girls 4 x 200 relay (1:51). The boys 4 x 200 relay was made up of Hunter Tremain, Tyler Cal­houn, Eric Lueb­bert and Sky­lar Ver­futh. The girls 4 x 200 relay included Lau­ren Bos­t­ian, Stormie Carter, Syd­ney Potts and Saman­tha Dex­ter. The Lady Tigers’ Ellie Schmidly took first in the 100 hur­dles (17.52) and Josie Dyke was first in the 100 (12.97).
  Host Bran­son received firsts from Cameron Chancey in the 110 hur­dles (15.12) and Michael Dap­prich in the dis­cus (130−2).
  Bolivar’s girls 4 x 800 relay (10:09) that included Delaney Peter­son, Amanda Light­foot, Ash­ley Law­son and Rachel Schrader was vic­to­ri­ous.
  Nixa’s Steven Hynds was first in the shot put (49−8.75).

Nixa’s Keeney among those to sign let­ters of intent

  Nixa’s Jor­dan Keeney will con­tinue his foot­ball career at Cen­tral Mis­souri State, after sign­ing a let­ter of intent with the Mules.
  Keeney, the Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion Offen­sive Player of the Year last fall, is expected to stay at run­ning back for Cen­tral Mis­souri State.
  The Eagles’ Skyler Brown, an offen­sive line­man, signed with Ottawa (Kan.).
  Ozark’s Tom Ligion signed with Arkansas State’s track team and hopes to com­pete in the decathalon.
  The Tigers’ Keaton Pat­ter­son, a line­backer, signed to play foot­ball at South­west Bap­tist.
  Carthage’s Trevor Hole signed with Evan­gel and plans to play foot­ball and com­pete in track.

Neosho girls take Carthage team title

  CARTHAGE — Neosho won the girls team title by 82 points at the Carthage Invi­ta­tional on Tues­day.
  Carthage’s boys won the 4 x 800 relay (8:30), its girls won the 4 x 100 relay (52.5), Ste­fan Stokes won the 110 hur­dles (16.4), Evans Adams won the 400 (51.24) and Billy Mendell won the 3,200 (10:19).
  Neosho’s girls took the 4x 400 relay (4:16), 4 x 800 relay (10:26), while Mor­gan Rathamn won the 100 (12.72), 200 (26.65) and 400 (1:02.43), Jes­sica Jack­son won the 800 (2:20.99) and 1,600 (5:16), Court­ney Wood won the 3,200 (11:46), Jayde Thomas won the 300 hur­dles (49.56), Chet Hall won the 300 hur­dles (43.68), Mar­cus Mid­dle­ton won the shot put (48−8) and Emily Paulis won the triple jump (34−2.5).
  Firsts for Webb City included its boys 4 x 100 relay (44.93), girls 4 x 200 relay (1:51.75), boys 4 x 200 relay (1:33.21), Katie Box in the 100 hur­dles (15.8), Slade Byford in the triple jump (40−7.5) and Boo Rodgers in the high jump (6−2).

Lady Wolves win Aurora Relays (Track roundup)

  AURORA — Reeds Spring’s girls track team cap­tured first place at the Aurora Relays on Thurs­day.
  The Lady Wolves received firsts from Abbey Ver­non in the 400 (1:04.48), Shan­non Allen in the 200 (28.19), Casey Williams in the dis­cus (89−1) and Krys­tal Stump in the 100 hur­dles (17.08). Stump was sec­ond in the 300 hur­dles (52.58).
  Thirds for the Lady Wolves included Allen in the 400 (1:06.88), Saman­tha Akromis in the 800 (2:43) and high jump (4−8), Williams in the shot put (27−8), Alexis Haynes in the 100 (13.55), Schmidt in the 3,200 (13:10) and Sabra Boes, Haynes, Allen and Ver­non in the 4 x 100 relay (50.51).
  The Wolves’ first-place fin­ish­ers weer Dominic Smith in the 100 (11.79) and 200 (23.7), Zach Branch in the 400 (52.9), Ben Selby in the 800 (2:02), Dylan Weber in the 110 hur­dles (16.59) and Selby, Aaron All­phin, Austin Burke and Branch in the 4 x 400 relay (3:27). Weber was runner-up in the 300 hur­dles (44.03).

Reeds Spring 4 x 400 relay wins (Track roundup)

  NIXA — Reeds Spring’s 4 x 400 relay of Sam Akromis, Cheyenne Ran­dle, Shan­non Allen and Abbey Ver­non took first (4:15) to high­light the Lady Wolves’ show­ing at the Nixa Relays on Tues­day.
  Krys­tal Stump was third in the 100 hur­dles (17.3).
  The Wolves’ Ben Selby was first in the 800 (2:01). He ran the open­ing leg on the 4 x 200 relay that was sec­ond (1:34.9). Dom­inc Smith was third in the 200 (24.1), as was Reeds Spring’s 4 x 400 relay (3:44).

 Host Lib­er­a­tors runner-up at own relays (Boys track roundup)

  BOLI­VAR — Boli­var totaled 115 points while being edged by Cam­den­ton by five points for the team title at the Boli­var Relays on Thurs­day.
  Boli­var received sec­onds from Manny Ofori-Yeboah in the 110 hur­dles (15.9) and Ryan Kutju in the 300 hur­dles (42.51) and its 4 x 200 relay (1:34.98). The Lib­er­a­tors’ Mitchell Waters was third in the 400 (53.22), as was Ofori-Yeboah in the high jump (5−10), Jake Hart­ley i the shot put (42−1), Jacob Jones in the 800 (2:05) and Gar­rett Evans in the 1,600 (4:55) and its 4 x 400 relay (3:37).
  Branson’s Josh Mor­gan took first in the pole vault (15−0), as did Keaton Knud­son in the triple jump (4−0.75). The Pirates’ Joe Vu was sec­ond in the long jump (19−8.5), as was Johnny Onoh in the shot put (42−4).
  Republic’s Jacob Cooper was third in the 100 (11.73).
  Buffalo’s Justin Sim­mons was sec­ond in the 400 (52.95), as was the Bison’s 4 x 400 relay (3:33) and 4 x 800 relay (8:47).

Repub­lic takes team title (Girls track roundup)

  BOLI­VAR — Republic’s girls track team claimed the Boli­var Relays cham­pi­onship on Thurs­day.
  Republic’s Sharla Friend took first in the high jump (5−3). The Lady Tigers’ Hai­ley Willis was sec­ond in the 1,600 (5:45), as was Alex Botkin in the 100 hur­dles (17.19) and 300 hur­dles (49.66), Jeanna Beck in the dis­cus (105−11), Clarissa Watkins in the 100 (13.65) and Miranda Cun­ning­ham in the pole vault (8−6). Their 4 x 800 relay (11:00) was third.
  Host Boli­var received firsts from Rachel Schrader in the 3,200 (11:50) and its 4 x 800 relay (10:36.32). The Lady Lib­er­a­tors’ 4 x 400 relay (4:25.72) fin­ished sec­ond. Their 4 x 100 relay was third (54.3), as was their 4 x 200 relay (1:55.20), Eliz­a­beth Whar­ton in the pole vault (8−6) and Ash­ley Payne in the 100 hur­dles (17.31).
  Firsts for Bran­son included Gabby Rud­dick in the 400 (1:03), Michaela Dap­prich in the dis­cus (119−5) and Shelby Shields in the pole vault (9−0). Rud­dick was sec­ond in the high jump (5−2) and Dap­prich was sec­ond in the shot put (35−5). The Lady Pirates’ Bri­anna Winn was third in the long jump (14−10.25) and triple jump (31−1.75)
  Marshfield’s Jes­sica Stepp cap­tured first in the long jump (16−8.75). The Lady Jays’ 4 x 400 relay (4:26.08) was third.
  Buf­falo was led by Brit­tany Glass­cock, who was sec­ond in the triple jump (31−11.25).
